First Out of the Blocks: Beacon College Matriculants Face CATN Practical as Final Written Exams Commence

MALALANE – The long-awaited National Senior Certificate (NSC) final examinations are officially underway for the Class of 2026 at Beacon College Malelane, with Computer Applications Technology (CAT) Paper 1 (Practical) leading the charge as the very first major written subject.

Setting the Pace in the Computer Lab

On Tuesday, 13 October 2026, the digital labs at the campus will buzz with intense focus as matriculants sit for their grueling three-hour practical exam starting at 09:00.

As a gateway subject that tests rigorous hands-on skills in data handling, word processing, and information management, CAT Paper 1 is notoriously demanding. However, educators at Beacon College believe that kicking off the finals with a highly practical application paper serves as an excellent technical icebreaker for the learners.
